brow pencil review.
Hey! Here again with another makeup review!
For the longest time I’ve been going around without eyebrows. My brows are very thin, almost like nothing. Picture that forehead.
But the reason I’ve been scared of doing my eyebrows, is because brows frame your eyes and highlight your best facial features. So, one wrong move, I would look horrendous (so I would prefer go out looking like an asian gollum? hmm.)
But of course, I never stopped practicing and trying out different products, but all of them failed to make my eyebrows look natural, I don’t have much hair on my eyebrows so they made me look like I used a Sharpie. Of course maybe it was my fault for not using them correctly.
Until, I found the e.l.f Instant Lift Brow Pencil.
One day I bought this pencil just because of its price ($2), and because I was tired of spending money on make up I would use just to practice. And, it is AMAZING.
It’s not very harsh which help you have more control on the density of each stroke, thus making the job of a natural brow easier.
It lasts very long. I’ve used this to work from 2pm to 9pm and when I get home, eyebrows are untouched. One winter day, on my way to work, it was pouring water and ice, and it was very very windy so an umbrella was going to be an obstacle so I put it away, and even though the pencil is not waterproof, it held on pretty well (and because I never touch my face.)
It also blends very well, making it more even and more natural. I use the brush it comes with.
The only cons are that the cap is weak, so you have to be careful not to drop the pencil, and that the pencil is a little too thick, but it does cost $2 so…
My sister uses the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade which cost her $18 and she tried this one and said the e.l.f did the same job. So if you want a more affordable brow makeup, I would definitely give the e.l.f Brow Pencil a try!
Overall, I give the e.l.f Instant Lift Brow Pencil a 4/5. It is long lasting, not harsh strokes for a more natural look, and does what a high-end brow make-up would do. But the cap is weak, and the pencil is thick, which making mistakes is very easy.
I hope this helped!
